One of the most awesome things about yoga is that people of all ages, sizes, and fitness levels can benefit from it – even if you’ve never done yoga before! You don’t have to be super-flexible, skinny, or in great shape to enjoy all of the amazing benefits of yoga. Every yoga pose can be tailored specifically to your own abilities and level of experience.
However, there are a few yoga poses that are particularly well suited for beginners – though advanced yogis still enjoy them as well! (This is why we often call these poses “foundational” yoga poses. Even as you move on to more advanced postures, you will still continue to do the basics as your foundation.)
