Welcome to the New Year! To kick off the year right, we are sharing a 6-week beginner Kundalini yoga series designed to nourish and uplift both body and mind. If you’ve never tried Kundalini yoga you’re in for a real treat – and if you have, feel free to join in as we move through 6 classes that will boost your energy and vitality, help you connect to your body, and burn off some of those extra holiday pounds!

Although Kundalini yoga may seem intimidating to those who haven’t tried it before, it’s actually one of the more accessible forms of yoga. You don’t have to be particularly strong or flexible to participate, and many of the moves can even be done while seated in a chair if you have limited mobility and find it difficult to sit on the floor.

This week’s 20-minute class is geared towards those new to yoga, so you don’t need any prior experience to participate. Wake up and energize your body from head to toe and release stress and tension with this quick sequence! This session will give you a good idea of some of the breathing techniques and physical exercises that are commonly used in Kundalini yoga.

All you need is a yoga mat or blanket to sit on – or if you find a chair more comfortable, just follow the chair modifications shown in the video.
